Simple Elegant Paris themed Cake with Eiffel Tower! York PA Bakery

This Paris inspired cake features a girly background and Eiffel Tower with elegant pearls on top.  The cake was made for a get together of girlfriends going on a girls only trip to Paris.  The instruction was something Paris related and girly, hopefully I hit the nail on the head??  The cake was a White Almond Flavored Cake with our most popular Black Raspberry Filling, and Buttercream Icing, topped with Marshmallow Fondant!

Here at Bear Heart Baking Company we are fortunate enough to live close to York College of Pennsylvania.  So it is only fitting that we offer a York College Cake Delivery Service.  It is actually one of our favorite things to do here at the Bakery.  The cakes we create for each York College student is usually for a Birthday and incorporates something unique about the student.  This particular Birthday Cake was for a student at York College of Pennsylvania and was for her 21st Birthday!  We were so excited to share in her special day with her and her mother both!  Desiree is really into Shopping, her Mother told me….particularly Gucci!  Well we can relate I mean after all what girl doesn’t love Gucci?  Ok, Ok so maybe everyone isn’t there biggest fan but Desiree sure is so she should definitely have a current miniature version of a Gucci purse on her cake, right?  We thought so.  While the purse didn’t say Gucci on it on their website we added it for anyone who wouldn’t know that it was a miniature replica of the white leather, bamboo handle purse featured for this Spring!  Ok now I am starting to sound like an advertisement for Gucci, back to the cake! 

The mini Victoria’s Secret Shopping Bag and spilled Starbucks completes any shopping trip in my mind.  It doesn’t hurt to throw in some new sunglasses from Coach to complete your Spring essentials kit.  The little lipstick and mini credit cards were just the right touch to finalize it.  The girly design of the flower made the cake look like a gorgeous Birthday Cake to begin with, however adding the little shopping touches personalized this cake as Desiree’s 21st Birthday Cake for sure!

Custom fondant Birthday Cake Bakery York, PA!

Little Dog Orange and Blue Fondant!

This Birthday Cake was made for a little boys fifth birthday.  His mother sent me pictures of his favorite stuffed dog “Little Dog”.  The puppy was so cute and was pretty easy to make.  I think he turned out really well with the Marshmallow Fondant.  The color scheme was Thomas the Tank Engine Blue and Orange.  I think the colors of this Birthday Cake are my favorite.  Not only because I am a Miami Dolphins Fan but also because of how trendy they make the cake look!  We added a doghouse to the front with the name “Little Dog” hanging over the doorway.  The Birthday Cake was completely covered in Marshmallow Fondant and the decorations added were also Marshmallow Fondant.  You can’t have a puppy dog cake without bones so we lined the whole bottom tier with white bones and added his name “Cole” as well.  Another fun Birthday Cake made by Bear Heart Baking Company!

Our Bakery delivered Brownies and Cookies to East York, PA! Christmas Delivery!

Had a big delivery on Wednesday night.  I had to deliver 4 mini loaves of Zucchini bread, 1 dozen chocolate Chip Cookies, and 8 Fudgy Brownies with Red and Green Chocolate drizzle, to East York.  I wish I could say this was a quick and easy order but it took alot of time to individually wrap and seal each cookie, brownie, and quick bread.  I am thinking I will have to work on the packaging process in the future to make it more efficient.  I never even made it to drop off the package until a little after 7.  It was to a home in East York out by the York Galleria Mall.  Being in Dover it took some time to get out there with all of the Christmas traffic.

Well another hectic day in the life of a Baker  🙂  Really though it isn’t that bad.  I bake cookies, brownies, breads, and cakes for living.  I can think of a few more painful things in life.  Can you?  LOL!!

Pink and Black Zebra Striped Birthday Cake

Bear Heart Baking Company made a Pink and Black Zebra themed Birthday Cake a couple of months ago.  It turned out great!  We used our famous Marshmallow Fondant (made from scratch and hand rolled) on this cake.  The cake itself is a Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Icing!  The Two Tiered Birthday Cake was covered in Hot Pink and Black Zebra Stripes giving it the extra pop!  This Birthday Cake was one of the cakes we made when first starting out.  When Valerie contacted us about making this Cake for her best friend Tammy’s Birthday we didn’t hesitate and we are glad we had the opportunity to make it.  It is the one Birthday Cake that is asked about by most visitors to our site!  To see more cakes made by Bear Heart Baking Company click here
