Disney Cars Cake Lightning McQueen and Mater

This cake was made with the Disney Cars theme in mind.  We made the sides of the cake look like a scene from the movie and Korbin’s mother provided the Lightning McQueen and Mater cars for on top.  The cake was a yellow cake with buttercream icing.  The decorations were all made out of marshmallow fondant.  We actually marbled the blue fondant with white making it look like clouds whisping through the sky.  This was a first for us and it was really fun!  I think we will be marblizing fondant a little more when appropriate  🙂
